All requirements needed to fly the route legally under the CASRs, including:
Licence, Medical, and AFR current
Formation Endorsement (by 31 January)
Minimum RPL, with Cross-Country Endorsement
Controlled Airspace, and Controlled Terminal Endorsement

Recent practice with your element
Staging: accommodation, and parking, if required
Aircraft can carry an additional crew member provided that person is there to assist the pilot, and is a qualified pilot with a Cross-Country Endorsement, a Controlled Airspace, and Controlled Terminal Endorsement. Passengers are not permitted.
Weight and Balance done.
Current MR, for VFR Day.
Able to handle crosswind of up to 17 kts.

1 comm (with ability to monitor 2nd frequency helpful)
Fuel/Endurance, 2 hours, plus 45 minutes reserve, from primary departure point of Balbo.
Pilots and aircraft owners should not participate in the Air Armada unless the aircraft they are flying is fully insured and the pilots are covered with public liability insurance. The onus is on each pilot to make sure they are covered. Pilots are participating at their own risk.
